L'Arazzo di Bayeux è uno dei gioielli della Normandia romanica. The Bayeux Tapestry is one of the jewels of Romanesque Normandy. This work of art, made according to a very simple process - of wool threads embroidered on a linen canvas - was embroidered after the Battle of Hastings on 14 October 1066, probably in a monastery in southern England. Its length is large (almost seventy meters). They tell the events surrounding the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy. Viking ships, Normans and Saxons cavaliers illustrate the exploits of William and his opponent Harold, another pretender to the throne of England.
